It's the most wonderful time of the year. Or so the old Christmas song goes. Once the “ber” months arrive and you feel the slightly colder breeze, one can't help but think about the inevitable: Christmas. For some, it's a favorite season because of all the shopping, partying and gift-giving and buying that goes with it. For others, it's an unecessary expense punctuated by forced reunions and social gatherings.
Be it what you may, Christmas arrives every year and with it much preparation. I for one think that preparing weeks ahead of the actual holidays can actually make it a less stressful and less expensive activity. I go to a Dallas Christmas store early on and buy Christmas décor and holiday ornaments while they are still on sale. Shopping early also means getting first picks on table linen and other yuletide-themed items.
